- 1 teaspoon Chinese chicken soup stock powder

- Cut pork belly into 2 cm squares.
- (This is an optional step to remove an excess oil from the pork) Heat a frying pan and brown the meat. No oil needed as the pork has oil. When the pork is well cooked on the surface, pour hot water over it in the pan. Add 1 table spoon of vinegar. Cook for 15-20 mins. Remove any scum on the surface.
- Heat a frying pan and fry the ginger until fragrant. Stir-fry the pre-cooked meat, and then mix the five-spice powder all over.
- Mix all the ingredients for step 4 in a bowl, add in the pan. Cover with a lid or wooden/foil drop-lid to simmer for 30 mins. Cook until the sauce is thicken, but keep some sauce as it goes really well with white rice.
- While simmering, cook the boiled eggs and bok choy to add as toppings. Once the pork is ready, serve some white rice at the bottom of the bowl, add pork, bok choy and boiled eggs on top!! Ready to enjoy Taiwanese menu!
